Ryker’s Rainbow is a non-profit that provides support for bereaved families who suffer the loss of a newborn or infant. The founder approached me about building a website capable of informing visitors of their mission, advertisings their sponsors, and taking donations. I built a 5-page website with mostly filler info and images on Squarespace using PayPal for donation, and a links page to the sponsors who have supported RR.

Design Rational: The main logo includes a rainbow graphic and all the colors or the rainbow, however we went with a pastel version of the colors to decorate the site. We decided on muted hues verse the full colors of the rainbow, so the site theme wouldn’t come off too bright and happy, Given the nature of the organization. Lots of images of rainbows and images of the founders b/c RR is their personal story, and they wanted to show who they are and create a safe place for those who are also grieving.
